Hillsborough Lacrosse Inc. is a non-profit corporation formed in 2005 to promote Lacrosse in Hillsborough and its surrounding communities. After 17 years as a Hillsborough Recreation Department sponsored program, the Township requested and the youth Lacrosse leadership agreed, that due to the maturity of the organization and its ongoing financial needs, the program would be better served as an independent group. As part of this agreement the Hillsborough Recreation Department will continue to work with Hillsborough Youth Lacrosse Inc to secure fields and other facilities that may regularly be necessary.
The organizational leadership of Hillsborough Youth Lacrosse Inc is made up of two management committees; the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is comprised of seven positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Tournament Director, Scheduling Director & Concession Director. The Board of Trustees is responsible for:
Set the strategic direction of the organization
Admission of any / all new programs
Manage the financial assets and provide budgetary oversight
Monitor and assure that activities undertaken are in the best interest of the organization and its members
Liason to League and Government bodies
Board of Directors
The second tier of leadership for Hillsborough Youth Lacrosse is the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors are nominated and/or appointed by the Board of Trustees and approved by the general membership. The primary role of the Board of Directors is to oversee and manage the day-to-day functional activites of the Hillsborough Youth Lacrosse program. The Board of Directors is comprised of:
